The modelling industry is one of the hardest careers to achieve and maintain as it is filled with all kinds of people on the top of the ever-growing competition. While most aspiring models are conscious about their size or looks, making a career in modelling takes more than just the outer appearance. Below are some of the tips that might come in handy if you wish to enter the glamour world.

1. Know Your Goals

The modelling industry is vast and before you step into it, you must know your end goal even if it is subjective. For instance, there are different types of modelling such as runway models, fitness models, plus-size models and many more. A fashion show model is not as widespread as a commercial model for magazine covers. Knowing your specific industry based on your preference will help you keep motivated and determined towards achieving success.

2. Practice Your Art

Whether it is modelling or any other profession, you must practice your art if you wish to stand out in the crowd. Do not expect agencies to sign you just because you aspire to become a model. Practice your twirls, walk, poses among others to keep your head high with confidence if you get to showcase your talent as fake wouldn’t last in the industry looking for raw talent.

3. Get No-Glam Headshots

To make it through your initial struggles, you must have a good headshot or you will not get anywhere. Get your friend or a photographer, if you can afford, to take a natural headshot of you with minimal makeup. Modelling agencies are extremely busy and usually, have the girls to fill out forms and submit photos for review and most importantly, they hate photoshopped, heavy makeup and fancy hairstyles for review pictures.

4. Be Aware

The modelling industry is known to be sketchy and the wrong agencies may ask you to sacrifice your morals. Finding the right source to start your career in the glamour world is just as difficult as to find a pin in the haystack. However, India’s premier entertainment company, Cineyug, has come with an exclusive platform, EntNetwrk, where one can enter into the entertainment industry.

Mark your presence

5. Have Patience

The last but the most important tip that anyone could give you to achieve success in the modelling industry is to have patience. You are going to fail a number of times, miss on many dream projects, get rejected again and again but if you stick to your goals and stay consistent then nothing is going to take your dreams away from you. Just make sure that you keep your values in the process.

With the above-mentioned steps or tips, you are definitely going to land your first project very soon. Download the EntNetwrk application from here (download link) and start building your network in the glamour industry for free.
