Child actress Ruhanika Dhawan, who is an important part of the track on the show Mere Sai: Shraddha Aur Saburi, says that her track sets out an important message about treating sons and daughters alike.

Ruhanika plays the role of a girl who is abandoned by her parents on the steps of a temple. Apparently, in the show, her parents had wanted a son as their third child after having two daughters.

Her character Rama, she believes is a very brave and independent girl who sets out to look for her biological parents. Rama, as described earlier is an abandoned child who is later adopted by a lady, whom she lovingly calls Ajji. The actress says that the track delivers the message about treating a boy and a girl at par and how whether it is a girl or a boy, a child is a child and should not be abandoned.

Additionally, the actress also thinks that it is a shame upon a society that looks down upon women and girls. She believes that if a girl is given equal opportunities as a boy, she is capable of reaching greater heights. As only a child even, Ruhanika is a patron of equality and feels credited towards her parents for practising and instilling those values in her.

This track in ‘Mere Sai’ will focus on the struggles faced by the girls and The actress hopes to influence some minds to bring a positive change in society through this. The actress concludes by sending out a message for all the girls out there that no matter what, one should fight for their rights, and that no one should let them feel inferior about themselves.

The actress says that the show has been a great lesson to her. It has imparted wisdom and learning, and she has taken her lesson that where there’s a will there’s always a way, and nothing is impossible if you have faith in yourself. The actress also reveals that she and her family and I are huge devotees of Sai Baba, and getting to be a part of the show which is based on him is the same as a blessing to her.
