Bollywood actors are known to undergo extreme body transformations for their movies and impress their fans with shredded physiques. However, very few go the other way round and gain weight for their characters. Joining the elites, Kartik Aaryan will be seen weighing extra pounds in the Ekta Kapoor’s Freddy and for the same, the actor has reportedly gained close to 14 kilos.
After wrapping the filming of Dhamaka, Kartik Aaryan started preparing for his character in the romantic thriller, Freddy, and for the same, he gained close to 14 kilos as per the demand of the script. The actor reportedly didn’t think twice to alter his physique for the movie as he need to get back in shape to film another movie just after the completion of Freddy.
According to his trainer, Kartik was able to gain the kilos for his look in the movie with disciplined, tailor-made workouts and the right diet in a very supervised and safe manner. His trainer appreciates his dedication and mentioned that genetically it is hard for him to gain weight as he is an ectomorph, a person who stays lean naturally. However, he managed to achieve the look in a short period and even started losing weight after the completion of his movie to get in shape for his next.
Helmed by Shashanka Ghosh, Freddy went on the floors in August with Kartik Aaryan in the lead. The romantic thriller is said to be packed with unpredictable twists and sharp turns. The characters in the movie are set to take the movie buffs on a dark and chilling roller-coaster ride, where the lines between love and obsession will blur.
