Bhairavi Raichura’s 24 Frames in association with Ekta Kapoor’s streaming giant ALT Balaji brings to you an understated love story ‘Baarish’ starring Asha Negi and Sharman Joshi as Gauravi and Anuj, respectively.
Anuj is a successful Gujarati diamond merchant, but not as well read as Gauravi, a well educated Marathi sales girl in a jewellery store. Their chance encounter in the rain gradually opens door for a beautiful relationship to blossom into a heart warming love story of two very simple individuals.
The official trailer of the upcoming web series was released yesterday by the team. It gives a glimpse into how the lives of two people from different worlds find a common thread and live the ever lasting connect with each other.
Connected by their inherent simplicity, in spite of wishing for a non-dramatic life, Gauravi and Anuj’s married life isn’t without any dramatic family conflicts. Rishi, Anuj’s younger brother played by Sahil Shroff is irked with the fact that his sister-in-law isn’t of their status and takes it as a huge embarrassment.
Nandita Mehra from Laut Aao Nisha & Kya Qasoor Hai Amla Ka? fame  will be helming the web series. She is known for striking a balance in her narratives and has received rave reviews for her previous works.
The trailer ends with a dramatic cliff hanger of Gauravi being taken behind the bars. It would be interesting to see how together the couple fight these unwanted obstacles and get back to their romantic Baarish escapades.
Popular television actor Vikram Singh Chauhan from Jaana Na Dil Se Door and Ek Deewana Tha fame will also be seen in the web series as Aniket.
