The unfortunate and untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput created a huge furore on social media and fans demanded CBI probe in the alleged suicide case. After continuous efforts of the later actor’s loved ones and millions of fans, the Supreme Court allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation to investigate the tricky case two and a half months after the incident. While the CBI team has started their expert probe by recreating the scenes and interrogating prime suspects, netizens are now demanding CBI probe in another actor’s suicide case.
Tollywood actor Uday Kiran was one of the most promising and talented actors of the Telugu cinema who killed himself on January 5, 2014. While the late actor gave many blockbuster movies including Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu and Manasantha Nuvve, his career graph declined over the years before his unfortunate demise. After half a decade, his fans are revisiting fond memories of the actor and claiming that his suicide has to do with nepotism in the Telugu film industry, Tollywood.
Demanding a CBI probe in the case after almost 7 years, his fans trended #JusticeForUdayKiran on the micro-blogging website, Twitter, as they requested a fair and fresh investigation in the suicide case. A few netizens also mentioned BJP leader Subramanian Swamy and requested him to support the request.
