Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country, showbiz businesses are its lowest in the history of entertainment. While the theatres have been shut for months in order to curb the spread of the viral disease, OTT platforms gained momentum and bought premiere rights of the majority of small as well as big-budgeted movies. Meanwhile, Yash Raj Films supported the traditional screening of movies in a theatre. However, the latest report suggests that YRF honcho Aditya Chopra is all set to launch his own OTT platform.
As per an exclusive report published in the entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama, Aditya Chopra is in the process of launching an OTT platform dedicated to the movies of Yash Raj Films on the occasion of completing 50 years in the industry. Since early this year, YRF has been making big announcements as part of the celebration and signed superstars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif among others in upcoming anticipated projects.
The latest reports suggest that Yash Raj Films has a lot to surprise its fans and an OTT platform is part of it. The alleged digital platform will serve as an exclusive library of the movies produced under the Yash Raj Films banner to watch and enjoy. That is not it! The report also claims that the production house is planning to launch its own acting school to train and nurture talents in the industry with a superstar teaching board. All announcements are expected to be made on Yash Raj’s birthday on 27th September with numerous other surprises.
