While the Bollywood industry is struggling to cope up with the scarcity of movie releases, Parineeti Chopra has been giving her best to contribute to the industry with back to back movie releases. After The Girl On The Train, Parineeti recently made her second outing with Sania Nehwal’s biopic, Saina. While the movie continues to run at the theatres amidst the pandemic, the sports-biopic will be making its way to the streaming platform, Amazon Prime Video, on April 23.
Featuring Parineeti Chopra as the country’s most celebrated badminton player, Saina Nehwal, the movie focuses on the people who have been an integral part of the ace shuttler’s journey on both personal and professional levels. “We are thrilled to announce the digital premiere of one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year, Saina. An inspiring story of a real-life champion backed by Parineeti Chopra’s impressive performance and Amole Gupte’s great direction make this film the perfect addition to our content offering,” said Vijay Subramaniam, Amazon Prime Video India.
Talking about the digital premiere of the movie, director Amole Gupte hopes the movie will bring positivity to the lives of the viewers in the current pandemic situation. “Most excited that the world can now access Saina. They’ve been waiting patiently for the film to enter their homes and in these difficult times, I hope the film brings positivity and optimism to viewers,” he said.
Helmed by Amole Gupte, Saina features Parineeti Chopra alongside Manav Kaul, Paresh Rawal, Meghna Malik, Ankut Vikal, Subhrajyoti Bharat among others in key roles.
