Actor Kabir Duhan Singh has performed in many negative roles in South Indian films and also played Raavan in the Hindi web series “Ramyug”. The actor reveals that he is unafraid of getting typecast.

Kabir who says that he has no background in the cinema believes that there shouldn’t be any second thought on whether he should commence with a South Indian film or wait for a Bollywood film debut, and whether his debut should be of a hero, a supportive actor or an antagonist. For him, the rule is to work will that gets him more work. He believes that is the reason why he has equal respect for all kinds of film, regional, Bollywood or crossover.

The actor feels grateful to have worked with many celebrated stars in the South, including Vijay Sethupati, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui for the upcoming film “Bole Chudiyaana.” At the starting of his career working with two iconic figures as them, he feels has been a blessing and almost like attending acting class for him. He agrees that with each film an actor frowns and learns from every senior actor, however when an actor gets to work alongside someone whom he has grown admiring, it feels better. The actor has also shared a screen with South stars such as Kichcha Sudeep, Gopichand and Ajith Kumar among others.

Additionally, Singh isn’t bit worried about beginning as an antagonist in the South. He takes us back to when so many actors started their career in the South like Sonu Sood, and Vidyut Jammwal, who played negative roles before entering Bollywood and made it big there. He thinks it takes time but the attitude towards actors as ‘he only plays villain’ is changing and people are appreciating the skills. He also thinks that OTT, cross-region casting also leads to eliminating the fear of getting tagged.
