Confirming all the rumors going around on the social media, Soojit Sircar’s Amitabh Bachchan and Tapsee Pannu starrer ‘Pink’ is going to be remade in Tamil with superstar Ajith Kumar in the lead. The remake will be in collaboration with Boney Kapoor’s Production house.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary, ‘Pink’ was a court room drama which portrayed the feudal mindset of the society blaming women for the crimes against them.  It brings out the deep-set prejudices and outright injustices into light that women faces every day in their life. The movie focused on important  phenomenons  ‘Consent’ and ‘No means No’, which are some what still very ambiguous to the mass.

The remake of the movie will have Ajith  in the shoes of Senior Bachchan, where he played the character of Deepak Sehgal, a retired lawyer. The Tamil version of the movie will be helmed by ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’ fame director H. Vinoth.

This movie isn’t just another remake or collaboration of Bollywood and Tollywood movie, but a heartiest desire of Late actress Sridevi who started her acting journey with southern movies, wanted Ajith to do the film for her home production.

Ajith who played a cameo role in the Tamil version of ‘English Vinglish’ came up with this idea of remaking ‘Pink’. The movie is slated to release on March 1st, 2019.
