Seems like this year our filmmakers and actors are high on patriotic Josh. Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan is all set to take his fan frenzy to another level with his upcoming movie ‘Bharat’ along side Katrina Kaif and Disha Patani.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, based on 2014’s Korean war drama film ‘An Ode To My Father’, ‘Bharat’ is a journey of a man (Salman) and his nation together, as suggested by the official teaser that just dropped.
Khan can be seen donning various different avtars in the teaser, from being a Merchant Navy officer to a hot-shot aged man practicing boxing on the punching bag, a construction worker to a stunt man in a circus.
The movie will be following Indo-Pak partition in 1947 to the present day scenario. Salman is overheard in the voice over saying he was named ‘Bharat’ (India) by his father. As a name so powerful and big, nothing else matters in front of it, no cast, creed, race or religion.
The ensemble cast also stars Tabu, Asif Sheikh, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. Disha will be seen playing the character of a Trapeze artist while details of Kaif’s character isn’t out yet, except for her playing the obvious love interest of Salman in the movie.
The movie is slated for a Eid release this year and will hit the theatres on 5th June, 2019.
