The first trailer of Karan Johar’s magnum opus, Brahmastra, was released on Wednesday and received a great response from the audience and critics alike. The movie relies heavily on visual effects and also ensembles an exciting cast of Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy. However, the makers left no stones unturned to make the trilogy the biggest in the country with special cameos from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Multiple sources have time and again alleged that Shah Rukh Khan is playing a key role in the movie and now the rumour mills claim that not just Shah Rukh Khan but Deepika Padukone will also be featuring in the epic drama in a cameo. If reports are to be believed, Deepika will play a key role in the movie and share screen space with the protagonist, Ranbir Kapoor.

Deepika Padukone will make an interesting cameo as Jal Devi (Water Goddess). Meanwhile, Kajol is the other actor who will appear in two exciting scenes along with Madhuri Dixit who will play Goddess Durga in the film. Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan are also alleged to feature in a song.

Meanwhile, the first instalment of the three-part epic saga based on Indian mythology will release on September 9. Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva introduces the Astraverse with the origin story of Shiva played by Ranbir Kapoor.
