Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions, co-founded with Dany Garcia, has signed a first-look agreement with the Walt Disney Company. The deal allows Seven Bucks Productions to produce films for both theatrical release and streaming platforms, marking a significant expansion in their collaboration with Disney.

According to Variety, the multi-year partnership extends beyond just film projects featuring Dwayne Johnson as it will also involve other developments across various Disney departments, including parks, sports services, and cruises. Specific details about these future projects are yet to be disclosed, but the agreement signals a broad and ambitious collaboration.

Seven Bucks Productions has a long-standing relationship with Disney, dating back to successful projects like Jungle Cruise, starring Johnson and Emily Blunt, and the Disney+ series Behind the Attraction. Over the past 12 years, Seven Bucks has partnered with multiple studios, producing content that has grossed $4.6 billion worldwide, including hits like Black Adam and Jungle Cruise.

In addition to this new deal, Dwayne Johnson is also set to reprise his role as Maui in Moana 2, the sequel to the Oscar-nominated 2016 animated film. The trailer for Moana 2 set a record as the most-viewed animation trailer from Disney within twenty-four hours, reaching 178 million views. A live-action remake of Moana is also in the works for a summer 2026 release, with Johnson playing Maui and also serving as a producer.

Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming movie slate includes The Smashing Machine, Fast X: Part 2, and Red One, co-starring Chris Evans, set for a November release. This first-look deal with Disney promises to bring even more exciting projects from Seven Bucks Productions in the years to come.
