Starring Siddharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh in the key roles, the Mohit Suri directorial Ek Villain was a critical and commercial success. While the 2014 thriller is remembered for all the positive reasons, speculations about its sequel have been doing rounds over the internet for a while now.

As per the latest report, the makers of the actioner have finally decided to take the sequel on the floors and as per the source close to the development of the project, director Mohit Suri narrated the script to John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur some time ago. While the final narration took place recently, the report has it that both the actors have signed the dotted line and have come on board.

The source also added that the sequel will be a standalone movie and will have no links to the first instalment of the franchise. With the title of Ek Villain 2, the movie is expected to roll its first leg of shooting with John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur against each other by the end of June but the shooting will only take place after the entire team is on board. The makers are currently eyeing for a suitable actress to cast in the intense love story.

Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur is gearing up for the release of its upcoming love-drama, Malang, alongside Disha Patani. On the other hand, John Abraham will soon be seen in the second instalment to the Satyameva Jayate franchise with Divya Khosla Kumar in the female lead.
