With every film, the actress has surprised her audience, treated her fans and made haters take note.

While Alia’s career has been about many wins and a few failures, the learnings have been many. Personal and professional, the actress truly believes in doing her best and then leaving her fate in the hands of the audience. Even when it comes to controversies, the actress now lives by the rule: If I have nothing nice to say, I will not speak. Amen to that!

We take a look at the best and the Must watch films of the birthday girl. Here’s the Rundown-

Released in the year 2014, Highway is considered to be one of the best films of Alia. The actor brilliantly portrayed all the required emotions which helped the audience resonate with her character. In the film by Imtiaz Ali, Alia who suffers from Stockholm Syndrome falls in love with her abductor. Alia’s Performance was a winner and opened several doors of opportunities for the actress.

Udta Punjab is a film with a massive star cast including Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Diljit Dosanjh in pivotal roles. Alia portrayed the character of a migrant worker from northern India, who is working in Punjab. Her character tries to rise above her situation and goes through an incredible journey. Her terrific performance definitely did not go unnoticed.

Alia Bhatt’s Last Film of 2016 was the much-loved Dear Zindagi. This film is one of the best films of Alia Bhatt’s filmography. The story is about Kaira, a young woman who has everything in her life to be happy about but suffers from depression and insomnia. What made everyone fall in love with the movie is the character of Kaira, which every youngster of today can relate to. The movie delicately deals with the concept of mental instability.

Director Meghna Gulzar was bowled over by Bhatt’s portrayal of Sehmat Kaur in ‘Raazi’ (2018). It was after this movie, the filmmaker said that the actress had raised the bar for herself in cinema. Gulzar even said that Bhatt was a quick learner as she learned a different dialect by watching only half of one film. The movie collected over Rs 200 crore, worldwide. It was based on author Harinder Sikka’s book ‘Calling Sehmat’.

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy has been one of the finest films of 2019 and well, it was good enough to make it to the Oscars that year as well. Alia Bhatt played the role of Safeena, who is ambitious. She has her eyes set on a dream that she wishes to achieve, and for that, she strives just hard enough. She is the Angry Young Woman that Bollywood seldom shows as the heroine.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is to embrace its extravagantly-constructed universe — the elaborate sets that make up the red-light area of Kamathipura. Alia Bhatt very beautifully and strongly encapsulated the essence of the character and the whole plot.
