Soni Razdan, mother to actress Alia Bhatt informs the media and fans that Alia is taking good care of herself after being tested positive for COVID-19, on Thursday.

Alia Bhatt announced on social media about her testing COVID-19 positive. Alia, who had been quite packed with her schedule while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film, Gangubai, shared an Instagram story with the respect to her heath, updating that fans that she has been tested positive for COVID-19. She informed that she had immediately isolated herself and following all safety protocols under home quarantine.

Soni Razdan adds that since Alia self-quarantined herself, Razdan is not in touch with her. Although she is concerned, she tries not to stress her daughter with too many times. She calls her in the morning only to check up on her. Soni tells that Alia is taking great care when it comes to food. On Razdan’s suggestions, Alia eats simple and light food and remains sorted as far as the diet is concerned. She further informs that due to Alia was shooting for the upcoming film, she had been taking COVID tests regularly which led to the immediate detection.

Like Alia, even Soni has been venturing out for shoots. She started shooting last October. During that time the cases were high and it was even riskier. However, Alia and Shaheen have been a major support to her back then. With regards to the current situation in Maharashtra, Soni believes that it’s the need of the hour to be extra careful as the virus is spreading like wildfire and this has started to happen because people became laid back, and some of them didn’t even wear the masks and now everyone is seeing the ill effects.
