American actor Johnny Depp has been in the bad light recently owing to his libel cased against The Sun. The actor sued the news company for calling him a “wife beater” to Amber Heard. While the fans sided the actor, the London High Court ruled the judgement against Johnny Depp and it might affect his career as well as image.
Following the recent verdict, it is widely reported that Johnny Depp’s role in the upcoming third instalment of Fantastic Beasts franchise might get impacted. As per the sources, the studio is two minded over reducing his screen presence in the movie. However, it has been assured by We Got This Covered that the actor is very much part of the upcoming franchise movie and the shoot is underway. “The movie can’t exactly afford any more negative publicity for a franchise that already faces an uphill battle to remain relevant,” the report claims the creative team on board saying.
Johnny Depp plays the character of Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beast franchise and despite mixed reviews, fans welcomed his performance with warmth. However, it is yet to see whether the reduction in his role will affect the franchise positively or negatively considering the massive fan following of the actor.
