It was earlier announced that Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi are coming together for the first time for a horror-comedy, Phone Bhoot, and principal photography was done months ago. While the project hit a backburner due to the Coronavirus-induced lockdown, the movie is expected to go on the floors next month with the lead trio on the sets.
Siddhant Chaturvedi was earlier shooting in Goa for Shakun Batra’s untitled next starring Deepika Padukone when he was joined by Katrina Kaif and Ishaan Khatter for a reading session. Post which, Katrina Kaif went to the UK to visit her family while Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter got busy with their previous work commitments. With the entertainment industry coming back in business, the makers of Phone Bhoot are prepped to get the movie on the floors.
“I am thrilled to start the project. For the moment, I am taking baby steps. Things have been (uncertain) because of the pandemic, but we will get clarity soon,” director Gurmeet Singh had earlier expressed his excitement for the project with Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter coming together for the first time. The horror-comedy will have its first schedule of shooting in Goa followed by Mumbai.
