Ekta Kapoor’s Kausautii Zindagii Kay reboot has been sailing in the stormy waters for a while. Earlier, the lead actor, Parth Samthaan contracted novel Coronavirus which resulted in a complete halt of shooting, the show has been struggling with good TRPs for weeks. The latest reports suggest that the lead actors are planning to quit the show, making it more difficult for the makers to cope with.
The earlier reports suggested that Parth Samthaan, who plays the lead character of Anurag Basu in the daily soap, has resorted to focusing on his health and film career. Samthaan has reportedly made up his mind to walk out of the show as he has something excited lined up for him. Though the makers of the melodramatic daily soap are in talks with the actor to convince him to play his part in the show, latest developments suggest that they have also shortlisted a few names for Samthaan’s replacement.
A source close to the development of the daily soap has spilt the beans that the makers are considering Barun Sobti, Pearl V Puri and Vivek Dahiya to play Anurag Basu in the show. While the makers have kept their mum on the developments, the source claims that they are still mulling over the options. Meanwhile, the reports also suggest that Sahil Anand might also walk out of the show following the footsteps of Parth Samthaan.
Earlier, there were also reports that Erica Fernandez plans to quit the Ekta Kapoor’s show. However, the actress refuted the claims during a media interaction and said that she is part of the show.
