Indian businessman and alleged ‘fugitive’ Lalit Modi has been the talk of the town for dating former Miss Universe and Indian actress Sushmita Sen. While the two have been brutally trolled by the netizens for no sensible reason, Lalit Modi has decided to open up and shut down the trolls once and for all.

For the unversed, the former IPL chairman shared a series of romantic photos with Sushmita Sen from their recent trip to the Maldives and took the internet by storm. With the caption – ‘better half’, the businessman was trolled for many reasons, and amongst them was tagging a parody account of Sushmita Sen on Twitter by mistake. Hitting back at the trolls and media gossip, Lalit Modi has clarified several allegations in a lengthy Instagram post.

Storming at the netizens for the trolls, the annoyed businessman captioned, “Why is the media so obsessed abt trolling me apparently 4 wrongly tagging. Can someone explain – I only did 2 pics on insta- & Tag is correct. I GUESS We R still living in the Middle Ages that 2 people can’t be friends & then if chemistry is right & timing is good Magic can happen.”

Modi also explained the rumours surrounding his late wife, Minal. He wrote, “She was MY BEST FRIEND for 12 years whilst she was married. She was not my mother’s friend. That gossip was spread by vested interests. It’s about time to get out of this #crabmentality – hope u know what that means. Enjoy when someone prospers.” He even hit back at being called a fugitive with an exhaustive explanation. “Which court has convicted me? I will tell you, none. Just tell me one other person who has created what I have and gifted it to the nation.”
