Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty is one of the legendary Indian actors and his recent performance in Vivek Agnihotri’s political drama, The Kashmir Files, was widely appreciated by his fans. While he remains a popular public figure, he recently trended on social media sites after a picture of him from a hospital bed went viral. Now, his son, Mahaakshay Chakroborty, has opened up on the reason behind his hospitalization and shared a health update.

The viral picture of Mithun Chakraborty was shared by National Secretary – BJP, Dr Anupam Hazra, on Twitter which was captioned, “Get well soon Mithun Da. I wish you a speedy recovery Mithun Da (Translated in English).” In the shared picture, the veteran actor can be seen sleeping on a hospital bed under medical treatment. Later, his son spoke about his condition in a media interaction and confirmed that Mithun Da has been discharged from the hospital.

Sharing a health update, Mahaakshay Chakraborty said, “He was admitted due to kidney stones. He is discharged from the hospital and now he is fit and fine.”

On the work front, Mithun Chakraborty will next be seen in the Bengali-language movie, Projapoti. Meanwhile, he will also be sharing seats with filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Parineeti Chopra in the talent-based reality show, Hunarbaaz, airing on Colors TV.
