The Mumbai Police has revealed that the death threat email sent to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is linked to a phone number in the UK. This news comes after the police beefed up security outside Salman’s residence in Bandra following the email threat. According to reports, the police are leaving no stone unturned in investigating the matter, and are trying to trace the person in whose name the UK number is registered.

Recently, an FIR was registered against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Brar for threatening Salman Khan via email. The threat was sent soon after Lawrence Bishnoi’s interview from jail on a news channel went live. In the interview, he claimed that he will kill Salman if he doesn’t apologize to his community.

The Mumbai Police has registered a case under sections 506(2), 120(b), and 34 of IPC. Meanwhile, in light of the death threats, Salman’s fans have been restricted from gathering outside his residence, and the actor has been advised to avoid on-ground events.

On the work front, Salman Khan is currently preparing for the release of his film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which also stars Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, and others. The film is set to release on Eid. Salman also has Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in the pipeline.
