In utterly horrifying and devastating news to the music industry, renowned Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala has been killed in the district of Mansa on May 29, just a day after his security was withdrawn. This follows a day after the Punjab Police withdrew the security of 424 people, including the late Punjabi singer.

As per the reports, Sidhu was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jawaharke village of Mansa district on Sunday. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to injuries. As per the early reports, two more people were injured in the incident where over 30 rounds were fired by the assailants. “Congress leader and Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala was brought dead,” informed Dr Ranjeet Rai, Civil Surgeon, Mansa Hospital.

Moose Wala had joined the political part of Congress last year to contest Punjab’s assembly election where he was defeated by AAP candidate Vijay Singla by a huge margin. Sidhu had also targeted the opposition political party in his song, Scapegoat.

The news of his murder has shocked the entire Punjab music industry and many celebrities have expressed their shock on the microblogging website, Twitter, and forwarded their condolences to his family. The fans are yet in disbelief.
