Renowned Indian comedian Raju Srivastav, who has entertained audiences through his stint in movies and television shows, suffered a cardiac arrest and is admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.

Raju’s nephew has confirmed that the actor suffered a heart attack during a workout session at a hotel gym and was immediately rushed to the hospital after he collapsed. The actor, who was in the capital city to meet some politicians, is currently undergoing treatment.

His team confirmed the same to a news portal, “Raju sir suffered a mild heart attack while working out. He is admitted to AIIMS, but he is doing fine. He is conscious.” Even though he’s recovering, he is going to be kept under observation for a few days before being discharged.

Raju has done several popular shows on television including The Kapil Sharma Show and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was last seen two weeks ago in India’s Laughter Champion.
