In recent developments regarding the extortion case involving Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav, a significant breakthrough has occurred. Initially, it was reported that Yadav filed an FIR after receiving extortion threats totaling Rs 1 crore. The Gurugram police promptly initiated an investigation into the matter. Now, a substantial development has unfolded with the arrest of a suspect linked to the case.

According to ANI, the police have taken a 24-year-old individual into custody in connection with the extortion attempts aimed at Elvish Yadav. However, it’s crucial to note that these threats were not conveyed through phone calls but rather via WhatsApp messages. The messages demanded an initial sum of Rs 40 lakh, followed by a subsequent demand for Rs 1 crore.

These threatening messages were transmitted to Elvish Yadav around October 17. Once the case was officially registered, the police acted swiftly and efficiently. The Gurugram Police collaborated with the Gujarat Police to track down and apprehend the individual in question. ANI shared a video confirming the arrest of the suspect.

Additionally, in another video shared by ANI, Varun Dahiya, ACP Crime Branch, shed light on the incident and the motive behind the extortion plot. He stated, “Gurugram Police, with cooperation from Gujarat Police, has taken Shakir Makrani, a resident of Vadnagar, into custody. He appears to have been influenced by Yadav; driven by the desire to accumulate wealth, he hatched this plan to make an extortion attempt.”

Elvish Yadav had already garnered considerable fame within the content creator community even before his participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2. Hailing from Gurugram, he manages two popular YouTube channels, Elvish Yadav and Elvish Yadav Vlogs, boasting substantial followings of 14.5 million and 7.5 million subscribers, respectively.

Following his stint on Bigg Boss OTT 2, Elvish Yadav expanded into the music video realm. Notably, he starred alongside Urvashi Rautela in the song “Hum Toh Deewane,” which garnered significant attention. He also ventured into singing for a separate project. Most recently, he featured alongside his fellow contestant Manisha Rani in the music video “Bolero.”
