Back in December 2021, the highly anticipated film Pushpa: The Rise, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana, took the box office by storm. The movie not only featured popular tracks like ‘Oo Antava’ with Samantha Ruth Prabhu but also achieved immense success across various languages, surprising both the audience and the filmmakers. Now, the creators are determined to surpass the triumph of Pushpa: The Rise with their upcoming sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule. The sequel promises to be grander in scale and showcase more of Allu Arjun’s charismatic performance.

Exciting news has emerged about Pushpa 2: The Rule as the renowned production house and music giant, T-Series, has reportedly acquired the world language music rights and Hindi satellite TV rights of the film for an astounding sum of Rs. 60 crores. This move by T-Series indicates their confidence in the sequel’s potential to captivate the audience once again.

An industry insider disclosed, “Pushpa: The Rise was a sensation, conquering both the box office and the music charts. With Pushpa 2: The Rule, we can expect even more elements that enthralled the audience.” Speaking about T-Series’ involvement, the source revealed that the production house has already secured the rights to the film’s music in different languages, as well as the Hindi satellite TV rights for the sequel. This means that T-Series will have exclusive rights to all the songs in Pushpa 2: The Rule, regardless of the language they are dubbed in.

Regarding the investment made by T-Series, the source shared, “T-Series has invested approximately Rs. 50-60 crore to acquire both the world language music rights and Hindi satellite TV rights of the film.” When questioned about the substantial amount, the source added, “Given the outstanding performance of the first film across all languages, it’s no surprise that the second instalment will be bigger and better. Hence, T-Series has struck a highly profitable deal for Pushpa 2: The Rule, encompassing the world language music rights and Hindi satellite TV rights.”

While an official announcement of the acquisition is still pending, Pushpa 2: The Rule will continue the gripping narrative of Allu Arjun’s character from Pushpa: The Rise. Written and directed by Sukumar, produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 stars Allu Arjun in the lead role, alongside Fahadh Faasil and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is scheduled to hit theatres in December this year, generating immense anticipation among fans and the film industry alike.
