Ajay Devgn starrer Singham franchise is one of the most popular in Bollywood and the fans have been eagerly waiting for a solo Singham instalment after filmmaker Rohit Shetty turned it into a cop universe. While Ajay Devgn reprised his popular character of Singham in the Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, Singham 2 was released in 2014.
In a recent interaction with media, while shooting for the stunt-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi 12, Rohit Shetty discussed his upcoming projects with a special mention for Singham 3. As per Indian Express, Rohit mentioned that he is focused on the next chapter of Singham as he is excited to reunite with Ajay Devgn one more time. “While Singham is technically part of Simba and Sooryavanshi, it’s been a long time since I worked with Ajay. The last Singham came in 2014 and is yet one of the most favourite films on satellite,” said the filmmaker.
He further mentioned that the canvas for Singham 3 is more significant than ever and the project is expected to go on the floors in April next year. “Singham 3 is going to be a massive one and all our forces are working on it right now. I think it will take about a year, only after that will we think of another film,” he said. While Ajay will be reprising his character of Singham, cameos of Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh are anticipated.
