Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated sports drama, Maidaan, has officially secured its release date, with the film hitting theatres on Eid in April 2024. Helmed by director Amit Sharma, Maidaan promises to deliver a compelling cinematic experience, featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead role.

The announcement of Maidaan‘s Eid 2024 release sets the stage for an intriguing box office clash, as it will directly compete with the much-anticipated release, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The clash between these two films is expected to generate significant excitement and anticipation within the industry and among fans.

Under the direction of Amit Sharma, Maidaan narrates the inspirational journey of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgn takes on the role of Coach Rahim, portraying the challenges and triumphs that defined Rahim’s impactful life. The film aims to illuminate the untold story of Indian football’s golden era and Rahim’s profound influence on shaping the sport in the country.

Film producer Boney Kapoor previously shared insights into the challenges faced during the production of Maidaan, citing factors such as the pandemic, unpredictable weather, and unforeseen circumstances that led to significant delays and cost overruns in the making of this Ajay Devgn-starrer sports drama.
