Akshay Kumar is one of the most respected and successful actors of the Bollywood industry and his movies are loved by one and all. However, his upcoming period drama based on the real-life of Indian ruler, Prithviraj Chauhan, drew Karni Sena’s ire during the first leg shooting of the movie in the city of Jaipur.
As per the reports, Karni Sena disrupted the shooting of the upcoming period actioner, Prithviraj, which stars Akshay Kumar in the titular character opposite debutant Manushi Chillar portraying his wife in the highly anticipated movie. Led by national president Mahipal Singh Makrana, Karni Sena created a ruckus at the sets of the movie in Jaipur and warned the makers to not tamper with the historic events and facts.
The outfit demanded script read of the movie before permitting it to go on the floors in the pink city. As per the sources, Akshay Kumar was not present at the scene where Karni Sena created a stir near Jamwaramgarh village in Jaipur. Meanwhile, Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi, who was present at the shooting, assured the outfit that no facts have been tampered with in the movie. Earlier, Karni Sena protested the shooting of Deepika Padukone starrer Padmavaat in Jaipur and created a huge controversy around it.
Helmed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Prithviraj stars Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar in the key roles alongside Manav Vij and Ashutosh Rana as prominent characters. The period drama is slated to release on the occasion of Diwali, 2020.
