Khushi Kapoor is all set to make her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming web movie, The Archies, adapted from the iconic Archie Comics. At a recent event in Delhi, she discussed her role as Betty and the connections between herself and her character. She shared that the casting was influenced by the similarities between the actors and their roles in the film.

Khushi explained, “I think we were cast because there was so much of us that we have in our characters, and there’s a lot about Betty that I see in myself as well. I think she’s very sweet and empathetic, but I think she’s also sensitive sometimes and she is really caring but I think sometimes she can tend to put other people’s needs ahead of her…so I think I identified with certain parts of her a lot like the more I played.”

As a newcomer, Khushi received valuable advice from her fellow cast and crew members. She emphasized that the best advice she got was to simply have fun, especially since she occasionally found herself getting nervous and overthinking. This guidance helped her relax and enjoy her work on the film.

Furthermore, Khushi expressed her gratitude for the support she received from Zoya Akhtar, the director of the movie. Zoya’s encouragement and reassurance that Khushi was the perfect fit for the role of Betty greatly eased Khushi’s experience on set. While no specific tips were mentioned, having a supportive team to talk her through things made the process much smoother.

The Archies also features Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, and Aditi Dot. The film is set to premiere on Netflix on December 7, offering an exciting debut for Khushi Kapoor and her co-stars.
