Popular Indian producer Ekta Kapoor brought back the popular daily soap, Pavitra Rishta, after the unfortunate and untimely demise of Sushant Singh Rajput and despite the hate comments, the show has been doing well on the TRPs. Adding another character to the show, the makers have roped in Naagin fame actor Kunal Singh for a cameo.

Kunal Singh played the antagonist in the Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural saga, Naagin: Bhagya Ka Zehreela Khel, and the actor is reuniting with the producer for Pavitra Rishta 2. The show will feature him as the boyfriend of Ankita Lokhande’s character. Sharing details about his cameo, Kunal said, “I am playing Archana’s (Ankita) boyfriend ‘Gaurav’. It’s a cameo but till the time I am in the show, I have got a very good screen presence. I feel blessed to be part of most loved show. And sharing screen space with popular actors like Ankita, Usha Nadkarni ma’am and Shaheer Sheikh is just like another opportunity.”

Kunal also cherishes working in Ekta Kapoor’s show once again and call it a dream come true. “I am lucky enough to have got this chance for second time after ‘Naagin’. It’s just homecoming for me. The productions treat each talent and unit on set as a family,” added Kunal.

Pavitra Rishta 2 is a reboot of the original show with the same name and marked the rise of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant and Ankita rose to fame after their onscreen and offscreen chemistry became the crowd’s favourite. However, the Sushant’s fans rejected another actor playing his character and urged to boycott the show.
