In a surprising turn of events, model and reality TV star Poonam Pandey took to Instagram to declare that she is not a victim of cervical cancer. This revelation comes just a day after her manager shared the news of her alleged demise due to cervical cancer.

“I am alive. I didn’t die of cervical cancer. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the hundreds and thousands of women who have lost their lives due to cervical cancer,” Poonam stated emphatically in a post, expressing her intent to shed light on the often-overlooked issue.

In a subsequent post, she apologized for any distress caused and clarified that her “death” announcement was an attempt to spark a conversation about cervical cancer and raise awareness. Poonam stressed the preventability of cervical cancer through the HPV vaccine and early detection tests, emphasizing the need for more dialogue on the subject.

However, Poonam Pandey faces backlash on social media, with users criticizing her for allegedly “faking her death” to draw attention to the disease.

The confusion began when Poonam Pandey’s team issued a statement yesterday, stating that she succumbed to cervical cancer. This announcement sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, prompting varied reactions from disbelief to scepticism, as many had witnessed the model at an event in Goa just three days prior.

In the midst of the tumult surrounding the reported demise of model Poonam Pandey, journalist and publicist Flynn Remedios has called upon the Mumbai police to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter. The controversy sparked when an acquaintance claimed Pandey’s body was found in Pune, allegedly succumbing to cervical cancer.

Expressing concern over the situation, Remedios emphasized the importance of swift action by authorities and hinted at pursuing legal avenues if necessary. He described the incident as a case of public mischief fueled by spreading false information, stressing the need for accountability and correction.
