Actress Shruti Haasan says that being a public figure, she is prone to be easily be misunderstood. However, This doesn’t stop her from anything and she continues to speak her mind regardlessly with confidence irrespective of what people have to perceive about her.

The actress, believe that we are living in a time where there is a certain amount of easy negativity or judgement prevailing amongst people. She says that she has realised what is it that she wants, and believes in sharing her truth and speak with ease no matter what people say. She also says that the ones who are willing to take the good out of it, will, and those who like to twist things will always twist things and she won’t let that affect her.

The actress, who is popular for her love of Goth, had recently started the #McKenziesmakeupchallenge, in collaboration with American singer and actress McKenzie Westmore. The theme of the challenge was Beautiful Gothic Makeup. Shruti was judging the challenge, where she gave out opportunities to the entries from all over the country to showcase their creative gothic looks.

She says that the Goth look is her any time favourite and calls the Mckenzies challenge to be a really nice and innovative platform. She feels extremely glad to be part of it. While talking about the entries, she said that there were a lot of people who are not much aware of the subculture, and then there were those who are intrigued so it was super fun and positive as a response.

She believes that the look is yet to be accepted as part of pop culture in the Indian glamour industry. However, Shruti also says that if a particular look is an extension of one’s personality, then people naturally end up feel drawn towards it regardless of the acceptance or not. She believes that whatever the look may be, if it’s an authentic extension of someone’s interests and personality, then people are attracted to it even if it’s not a trend.

Shruti will next be seen in the Prabhas-starrer Salaar, which is being shot in Kannada and Telugu languages, and will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam as well.
