Probably the worst year for the entertainment industry, 2020, is about to end on a slightly happy note for the cine-goers as the single screen theatres and multiplexes have started releasing movies. However, the list of movies to be released in the coming year is long and if everyone goes as expected, the first movie to hit the big screens will be Ram Gopal Varma’s psychological horror thriller.
Ace filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has given many spine-chilling horror movies to the industry including Raat, Bhoot, and Vastu Shastra and to please fans of his cinematography, he will be hitting with another horror flick in 2021, 12 ‘O’ Clock. Featuring Mithun Chakraborty, Makrand Deshpandey, Divya Jagdale, Manav Kaul, and Ali Azgar, the horror-thriller will be released in the theatres on January 8, 2021.
Talking about the movie, Ram Gopal Varma said, “I always believed that Horror works more on a Psychological level because people get more scared when we stimulate their own imagination. Horror genre always excited me and I tried very new technique in this film to scare the audiences.” The movie was earlier speculated to be released over the OTT platform following the popular trend. However, the makers wish their audiences to experience the thriller in the theatrical format.
Helmed by Ram Gopal Varma, 12 ‘O’ Clock is distributed by UFO Moviez which recently forayed into film distribution. The movie stars Mithun Chakraborty, Makrand Deshpandey, Divya Jagdale, and Manav Kaul in the key roles.
