Shahid Kapoor was to begin the filming of the Shashank Khaitan directorial Yoddha under the Dharma Productions banner but the latest report suggests that the collaboration might not happen. While Shahid is currently busy with Jersey remake, the makers of Yoddha had decided to start filming in January. However, Shahid Kapoor has reportedly walked out of the actioner.
According to a source close to the pre-production of Yoddha, Shahid Kapoor was having creative differences with the team over the script. The actor even had shuffled his dates for the movie and had not even signed the dotted line which prevented the official movie announcement. The source claims that the Kabir Singh actor is very cautious with his future involvements and therefore, he is no longer a part of the Shashank Khaitan’s actioner.
Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the movie also featured Disha Patani as the love interest of Shahid Kapoor’s character in the movie. However, the fate of the project is now uncertain. The makers would need to revisit the script to convince Shahid Kapoor or start looking out for a new actor to be paired opposite Disha.
Weeks ago, it was informed that Shahid Kapoor will be making his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s web-series which is to be helmed by the directorial duo, Raj and DK. While Shahid Kapoor was to start filming Yoddha after wrap up of Jersey remake, Shahid switched the dates and will be shooting for the untitled web series with Vijay Setupathi in January.
