Working in the middle lockdown has been proved to be a blessing in disguise for singer Asees Kaur in some way. The singer reveals that she learnt how she could record her music by herself at home.

Asees feels lucky to have her home setup. and learnt how to record her music all by herself during the lockdown. The singer has been working from her home setup. She says that it’s been a good time learning a new skill as such and she is working and developing it.

The 32-year-old is a regular binge addict like us when she is not recording music. She reveals that she hardly gets time beyond creating music, but when she can spare some, she usually sits and binge on a lot of series on Netflix. That’s how she spends time when she has no work.

Asees’ recent release is a soft romantic single titled “Pyaar Diyan Rahan”. Opening up on the song, the singer says that it is a very beautiful romantic song and she fell in love with the composition when she heard it for the first time. Composed by Mrinmoy Sarmah and Sagnika Saha, the song was in Asses’ favour as the lyrics written by Goldie Sohel were very relatable.

She also appreciates the rising trend of independent music as it promotes talent. She thinks that the Independent music scene in India is very flexible and open and welcoming in the music industry right now because this generation of listeners is welcoming new songs. Even in the mucus industry, one is looking forward to new talents and the audience is accepting non-film music. She thinks this great and makes room for all singers to come up with their own music.

Asees is popular for her hits like “Ikk Kudi”, “Ve Maahi”, “Bolna” and “Jaan Nisaar” among others in Bollywood. She great potential with a growing fan base, and believes that it the chance to experiment which let her become popular.

The singer feels blessed that she got the opportunity to experiment with the selection of songs and she is singing different kinds of songs right now. Asees also expressed her gratitude to all her fans and listeners who have always been so supportive, whether she sings a romantic song or a sad song or a dance number. To the singer, song selection really makes a difference and she is grateful to all music directors she has worked with and who want to try her voice for different genres of music.
