Janhvi Kapoor is expanding her filmography with three upcoming releases, including two Hindi films and a Telugu project slated for a 2024 debut. The actress is set to share the screen with Tiger Shroff and Varun Dhawan in an upcoming Dharma Productions film tentatively titled Deadly.

Directed by Raj Mehta, known for Good Newwz and Jug Juggjeeyo, the project’s storyline is crafted by Anurag Kashyap. Under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Deadly brings together the dynamic duo of Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor, with an added twist of Varun Dhawan reportedly portraying the antagonist. The project is teased as the initiation of the Assassin Cinematic Universe in Bollywood. The tweet from the official handle stated, “Deadly kicks off the new universe in Bollywood — the Assassin Cinematic Universe starring Tiger Shroff & Jahnvi Kapoor. Varun Dhawan in talks to play the villain role. Directed by Raj Mehta, written by Anurag Kashyap, and produced by Karan Johar.”

Amidst the announcements, there are speculations of Janhvi Kapoor teaming up with Varun Dhawan for Dulhania 3, directed by Shashank Khaitan. Both actors previously collaborated in 2023’s Bawaal, directed by Nitesh Tiwari.

However, on January 5th, Karan Johar clarified via Instagram stories, urging the media to refrain from conjecture until official confirmations are made. He emphasized the importance of accuracy over speculation, adding that details will be provided when plans are finalized.

In her upcoming projects, Janhvi Kapoor has films like Mr and Mrs. Mahi with Rajkummar Rao, Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah, and Devara with Jr. NTR. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan is lined up for Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya 2, Raj & DK’s Citadel India, and Atlee Kumar’s next production. Tiger Shroff’s next film is Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, co-starring Akshay Kumar.
